Implemented under a collaborative framework, this project is designed to provide specific analytical, scientific and strategic information and support to strengthen the capacity of Least Developed Countries (LDCs) to defend their interests in global climate change negotiations. In the longer term it aims to improve the ability, skills and confidence of the group to make better use of existing knowledge in the negotiations, for example, in the area of climate science.
The support is provided in the context of the core group of the LDC chair. The support work is also expected to have positive effects on the coordination of the LDC group. This project is supported through the Advocacy Fund window of the Climate Development and Knowledge Network (CDKN) in collaboration with Climate Analytics, the International Institute for Environment and Development (IIED), the European Capacity Building Initiative (ECBI), the Oxford Climate Policy (OCP) and a range of other actors and resource persons.
